The bridal world has obsessed over letterpress invitations for a long time. But how much of the process and its history is understood or appreciated? This creative was inspired by the significance of print in our society; printing being one of the most influential mediums that is often taken for granted today. Printing allows us to document our personal and public histories, and this is an ode to its significance and mundane beauty.
Letterpress printing is a technique of relief printing using a press. A craftsman composes and locks movable type into a press, inks it, and presses paper against it to transfer the ink from the type, which creates a tactile impression on the paper.

So many beautiful components come together to make printing possible: beautiful typography, physical surface, ink. These are brought to life in a refreshing spin that is modern and poignant. We took the tactile nature of letterpress and combined it with authentic vintage type blocks, old newspapers, and vibrant colours — all very raw and vivid visuals.
